How to get to Bala?

By Road, Bala is just two hours away from major English Cities of Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham
Bala is only accessible by road (or Helicopter!) and is located on the A494 in North Wales, UK.
Post Code: LL23 7EL. Ride, drive, cycle or walk!

Please arrive between 5pm and 9pm, or by arrangement.
Coming from the North: Tip: Don’t go through Ruthin!
M56, M53, A55, A483, A525, A5104, A5, A494 to Bala. It’s 15mins from A5.
Coming from the South:
M6, M54, A5, then if you’re feeling brave, left at Knockin to B4391 Mountain Pass,
Or if you’re not: M6, M54, A5 all the way through Llangollen to A494 and Bala.
Train Stations Nearest:
Trains to Wrexham (or Ruabon) 30 miles or Barmouth 30miles. Further Stations:
Chester, Shrewsbury or Crewe with connections to/from London.
Public Buses:
Bus no T3 every 2 hours daily from Wrexham, Ruabon or Barmouth rail stations.
Airports Nearest: Trains and Buses connections from here.
Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham and Valley.
Ferry Port Nearest:
Ferry Port Holyhead 60 miles, on Anglesey, to/from Dublin, Ireland.

How to find the Hostel?

In the middle of Bala High Street, turn opposite the White Lion Royal Hotel, down Tegid Street to see HOSTEL Sign. Load/Unload outside Hostel, but please park round corner, behind Co-Op, in the large, empty and FREE overnight Pay & Display, one minute walk back.
Parking is FREE after 4:30pm until 10am.
Tickets purchased after 4:30pm are valid all next day
PARK and WALK one minute round the corner!
32 Tegid Street is adjacent to High Street, Bala.
